Types of Rotary Youth Exchange

As a Rotary Youth Exchange Student, you will have the choice of two types of exchanges.
|
LONG TERM - (ONE-YEAR ACADEMIC EXCHANGE) |

The Long Term program is a one-year academic exchange. Students attend school in the hosting country, and stay with up to three host families during the year.

The hosting Rotary club provides the student with a
club counselor who meets with the student on a
regular basis to ensure that the exchange is going
smoothly. You will also receive a monthly stipend
from the hosting Rotary Club.
The cost of the long-term exchange is $4,200. The
cost includes your round trip airfare, visa,
orientations, and health insurance. In addition the
student should plan to bring a minimum of $600 as
an emergency fund.
The Long Term program begins in August and ends in
July.

SHORT TERM -
(SUMMER EXCHANGE)
Short Term exchange program is a one-to-one
exchange. Students travel abroad and return with
their host sibling. The duration of the exchange is
3-4 weeks in each country. This exchange generally
takes place during the month of July.
